Our state police and other law enforecment have been significantly increasing the use of photo radar for speeding violations, particularly in construction zones. If you have received a photo enforcement ticket for exceeding the speed limit in a work zone, you are likely facing a fine significantly more than that for a standard speeding ticket. Your ticket probably is also a "must appear" violation, which requires you to come to court. The ticket does not state that you can often avoid a court appearance by retaining an attorney to attend for you. We can often negotiate a disposition of supervision for you on construction zone tickets, whether issued by photo radar or not, which avoids a public conviction on the citation. And sometimes there are other technical issues which we can identify to assist in our defense of the violation.
